    Red Palm Oil - 500ml

Handmade Unrefined Virgin Red Palm Oil - 500ml. Red Palm Oil is a type of oil that is extracted from the fruit of the oil palm tree. It is unique in its deep red colour, which is due to its high concentration of carotenoids and other natural pigments. Red Palm Oil is native to West Africa and is rich in antioxidants, including vitamin E, beta-carotene, and lycopene. These antioxidants offer many health benefits, such as reducing inflammation, protecting against cell damage, and boosting the immune system.  Red Palm Oil also contains high levels of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, making it a good source of healthy fats that can help lower cholesterol levels and improve heart health.  GuDee sources its Red Palm Oil from small local farmers in West Africa, which is Red Palm Oil's ancestral home. This ensures ethical and sustainable sourcing as no deforestation concerns and also ensures we're positively impacting communities in West Africa.  Red Palm Oil is linked to several health benefits including protecting brain function, reducing heart disease risk factors and improving vitamin A levels. A review in 2020 showed that Red Palm Oil provides neuroprotective effects against cognitive brain decline. Red Palm Oil has been credited with providing protection against heart disease. Studies showed that it lowers LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol, known as ‘bad cholesterol’ and increases HDL (high-density lipoprotein) cholesterol, known as ‘good cholesterol’ because high levels can lower your risk for heart disease and stroke. Nine high-quality studies noted that red palm oil supplementation can increase vitamin A levels in both children and adults. Another study found that people with cystic fibrosis, a condition that makes it difficult to absorb fat-soluble vitamins, experienced an increase in vitamin A blood levels after taking two or three tablespoons of red palm oil daily for 8 weeks. In addition to its health benefits, Red Palm Oil is also used in cooking and as an ingredient in various food products, such as baked goods and snacks.
